Our first stop was Lantana Station south west of Charleville. It was not only a very welcome stay after our long first week on the road, but it was to be a time for storing up good memories of wonderful new friends made and new experiences for the children.
Our kind and generous hosts, the Baines family, had organised a family camp over the Easter weekend. Families from the surrounding area attended plus a large group of dedicated helpers from a church in Toowoomba.
It was refreshing, encouraging and good for the soul. The children enthusiastically embraced the new environment and opportunities to ride bikes, hunt for pigs, play in the red dirt and get a little taste of a life lived in the mulga country.
